Weegar-Eide & Associates, LLC is a privately owned environmental consulting company established in 2003 and based in Austin, Texas. Our business focus is hydrogeology, underground injection control (UIC), carbon dioxide (CO2) geological sequestration (GS) studies, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) studies, and environmental geology. Our customers include major petroleum, refining, chemical, fertilizer, power generating, and mining companies with project sites throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Weegar-Eide has extensive experience pertaining to state and federal UIC programs. We have successfully completed over 100 geological and hydrogeological studies for injection well feasibility, site selection, and permitting projects through state and federal Class I (hazardous and non-hazardous), II, III, and V UIC programs. In addition, we have worked on a wide range of projects for the energy industry including, gas storage wells, acid gas disposal wells, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects, and hydrogeological studies. Weegar-Eide staff work closely with regulatory agencies to successfully meet state and federal requirements for UIC projects throughout the United States.
Weegar-Eide has a broad range of experience regarding geological and hydrogeological studies for CO2 sequestration projects. We have conducted GS studies at over 30 project sites in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Our background with GS projects, along with our combined staff experience and specialized knowledge relating to injection well services, make us uniquely qualified to work in this growing segment of the industry, including the more recently adopted Class VI UIC program.
Weegar-Eide also has a broad range of experience relating to groundwater availability studies, as well as soil and groundwater contamination investigation and remediation projects. We have extensive knowledge and experience in a broad spectrum of federal and state regulatory programs and have worked on a wide scale of projects throughout the United States.
